As the designated Social Care Network (SCN) Lead Entity for the Capital Region, Central NY, and North Country, we coordinate care and resources such as food, housing, and transportation for thousands of Medicaid members. This role is ideal for a skilled analyst who can transform data into insights that drive strategic initiatives and community impact.

Position Type: Full-Time
Salary Range: $68,800–$79,120 per year (commensurate with experience)
Location: Remote (New York State preferred)

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with business and technical teams to deliver data-driven insights.

  • Query, validate, and analyze data across multiple databases with attention to data integrity.

  • Develop reports and dashboards (ongoing and ad hoc) using BI tools like Power BI or Tableau.

  • Analyze health outcomes and cost savings, presenting findings to internal and external stakeholders.

  • Identify data discrepancies, improve data capture, and ensure compliance with data standards.

  • Support data testing, documentation, and process improvements.

  • Translate business requirements into technical data specifications.

  • Participate in design sessions with technical teams.


Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, statistics, computer science, engineering, or related field. Equivalent experience may be considered.

Experience

  • 3–5 years of professional data analysis experience working with large, diverse datasets.

  • Background in healthcare or social care industries preferred.

Skills

  • Advanced SQL and query performance tuning.

  • Strong experience with BI tools (Power BI, Tableau).

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; advanced Excel skills a plus.

  • Knowledge of programming languages (SAS, Python, JavaScript, Ruby) a plus.

  • Familiarity with Azure and data submission standards.

  • Strong communication skills, with ability to present complex analytics in plain language.

  • Ability to support non-technical users in data processes.
