In this role, the Data Analyst will reconcile customer data, improve data accuracy, and collaborate with teams across Engineering, Product, and Customer Experience. Data Analyst Key Responsibilities

Reconcile financial and transactional data from multiple sources to ensure accurate tax filings.

Normalize customer data from Stripe, Shopify, and Numeral API for clean workflows.

Partner with Sales, Product, and Engineering teams to resolve onboarding data challenges.

Support customer teams with ad hoc reports, insights, and investigations.

Build processes and tools to improve reconciliation and onboarding.

Contribute to DBT pipeline optimization and evolving the data architecture.
Skills Needed for a Successful Data Analyst
To succeed as a Data Analyst at NumeralHQ, you’ll need strong technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in SQL and Excel/Google Sheets is required, along with the ability to analyze large datasets and recognize patterns. Previous experience reconciling financial or transactional data, especially in e-commerce or payments, is highly valued.
Preferred Experience for Data Analyst Candidates
The ideal Data Analyst brings experience with DBT or similar ETL frameworks, along with familiarity with tools like Stripe, Shopify, Fivetran, Parquet, and S3. Comfort with REST APIs, Python scripting, or tax/compliance data will give you an advantage. A background in operations, finance, or technical customer success is also beneficial.
