Senior Data Analyst Responsibilities

As a Senior Data Analyst, you’ll transform complex data into meaningful insights that improve NRG’s customer care operations. You’ll collaborate with leadership to design, build, and maintain analytical tools that support decision-making across departments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, manage, and optimize Tableau dashboards and SQL-based reports.

  • Monitor and improve customer care performance metrics.

  • Lead strategic initiatives to achieve over $1 million in annual savings or revenue growth.

  • Partner with Director and VP-level leaders in a high-volume contact center environment.

  • Analyze purchasing, payment, and behavioral data to identify actionable trends.

  • Work with technology teams to integrate and manage enterprise data sources.

  • Present complex data insights clearly to non-technical stakeholders.

  • Apply a consulting mindset to improve efficiency and service quality through analytics.


Senior Data Analyst Qualifications

To succeed as a Senior Data Analyst at NRG, you’ll need strong technical expertise, analytical thinking, and communication skills. This position requires the ability to turn raw data into actionable business strategies.

Required Qualifications:

  • 3–5 years of hands-on experience with SQL (preferably Snowflake).

  • Advanced proficiency in Tableau or similar data visualization tools.

  • Strong presentation and data storytelling skills using PowerPoint or similar tools.

  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.

  • Proven record of using data to drive measurable business outcomes.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in consulting, analytics, statistics, or operations.

  • Background in fast-paced, technology-driven industries.

  • Ability to challenge ideas constructively and make data-backed recommendations.
