Healthcare Data Analyst Responsibilities

As a Healthcare Data Analyst, you will turn healthcare data into meaningful insights that improve performance, efficiency, and care quality across CoxHealth’s network.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collect, organize, and analyze healthcare data to support leadership decisions.

  • Develop and maintain detailed performance and operational reports.

  • Monitor statistical data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.

  • Ensure data accuracy within healthcare software systems and EMRs.

  • Collaborate with IT and operations teams to enhance system performance and troubleshoot issues.

  • Interpret data from telephony systems, electronic medical records, and contact centers.

  • Provide actionable insights to improve patient care, workflow efficiency, and outcomes.

  • Stay current with best practices and trends in healthcare analytics and data management.


Healthcare Data Analyst Qualifications

To excel as a Healthcare Data Analyst at CoxHealth, you’ll need strong analytical thinking, data management experience, and effective communication skills.

Required Qualifications:

  • High School diploma required; Bachelor’s degree in healthcare or analytics preferred.

  • At least 2 years of experience in data analysis, program management, or computer systems.

  • Strong proficiency in data abstraction, EMR navigation, and statistical reporting.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to prepare comprehensive reports tailored to diverse audiences.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in healthcare analytics or contact center data analysis.

  • Certified Healthcare Data Analyst (CHDA) credential preferred.

  • Strong understanding of data visualization and process improvement techniques.
