Join VTG as a Data Analyst supporting the U.S. Government Supply Chain Risk Management (SCRM) program in Washington, DC. This hybrid role focuses on analyzing complex supply chain data, identifying risks, and delivering actionable insights to support national security objectives. You will work with large datasets, develop dashboards, and collaborate with stakeholders to drive informed decisions.
Data Analyst Responsibilities
- Collect, clean, and analyze supplier, vendor, and supply chain datasets.
- Develop and maintain dashboards, visualizations, and reports to communicate insights to government stakeholders.
- Write and optimize SQL queries to extract and transform data from relational databases.
- Use Microsoft Excel for data manipulation, trend analysis, visualization, and automation.
- Collaborate with data engineers and analysts to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity.
- Identify trends, anomalies, and potential risk indicators through descriptive and diagnostic analysis.
- Support the development of analytic products and briefings for technical and non-technical audiences.
- Communicate with stakeholders to clarify requirements and solve supply chain business cases.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Statistics, Economics, Supply Chain Management, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 2+ years of professional experience in data analysis.
- Proficiency in SQL and relational database management.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (formulas, pivot tables, data visualization, automation).
- Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Qlik).
- Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and communication skills.
- U.S. citizenship and eligibility for a Secret clearance; ability to obtain Top Secret clearance.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Python for data analysis and automation (pandas, numpy).
- Understanding of supply chain management, logistics, or risk analysis concepts.
- Exposure to federal data systems or government contracting environments.
- Experience working with large, multi-source datasets.
- Knowledge of statistical modeling or machine learning techniques for complex data analysis.
Additional Information
- Minimal travel required, mostly within the Washington DC area.
- Salary Range: $90,000–$115,000 annually, depending on experience, education, and other factors.
- This position is contingent upon contract award.
