What You’ll Do

As a Business Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in driving operational performance and strategic initiatives across clinical teams including Care Management, Utilization Management, the Assessment Unit, and Pharmacy. You will lead data analysis and reporting efforts, offering actionable insights to improve processes, track outcomes, and support decision-making across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and interpret clinical, financial, and operational data; deliver reports and dashboards using tools such as MicroStrategy

  • Design reports to monitor productivity, utilization trends, care outcomes, and operational gaps

  • Lead exploratory analysis using statistical methods; prepare clear reports and presentations

  • Collaborate across clinical, administrative, and IT teams to ensure alignment between data and operational needs

  • Recommend and develop optimized data models, ensuring seamless integration from various sources (EHR, claims, assessments, authorizations, etc.)

  • Ensure data quality and accuracy; perform cross-database coordination, cleaning, and validation

  • Support automation and scalability of reports and dashboards

  • Define business intelligence needs and translate them into technical requirements for BI teams

  • Contribute to process improvement through root cause analysis and stakeholder engagement

  • Participate in special projects and support strategic initiatives as needed


Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Biostatistics, Mathematics, Public Health, Epidemiology, Healthcare Informatics, or a related field required

  • Master’s Degree preferred

Experience & Skills:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in data analysis within healthcare or managed care preferred

  • Proficiency in SQL, SAS, Excel required; Access experience a plus

  • Experience working with claims data and health plan quality metrics (e.g., HEDIS, QARR) preferred

  • Strong knowledge of statistical tools (R, SAS, or Python) preferred

  • Hands-on experience with data visualization platforms like MicroStrategy, Tableau, or Power BI

  • Excellent written/verbal communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and thrive in a fast-paced environment
