Role Overview
As a Data Quality Analyst, you will play a key role in supporting Cedars-Sinai’s Enterprise Data Quality & Governance (DQG) program. This program focuses on enhancing data integrity and usability to support internal decision-making and meet external data demands. You will apply data quality management principles across various functions, particularly within the administrative, financial, and clinical data domains. You will collaborate with business data owners, system staff, data analysts, and decision-makers to develop and implement proactive data quality practices.
Key Responsibilities

Perform data and process validations for both recurring and ad hoc data loads and analytics for internal and external customers.

Ensure data quality standards are maintained.

Resolve data quality incidents reported by users across Cedars-Sinai.

Use data quality tools to proactively identify and address data integrity issues.

Develop and implement proactive data quality monitoring procedures and practices.

Maintain and improve the efficiency of DQG’s processes and help documentation.

Lead innovations in data quality practices, advocate for excellence in quality and customer service, promote automation and efficiency, and drive process improvements.
Qualifications
Experience Requirements:

Strong understanding of data/information quality principles and practices.

Preferred: Experience with SQL, including data comparison and analysis.

Familiarity with the database development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, modeling, coding, and testing.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to collaborate effectively within teams, follow directions, and manage multiple tasks within specified timeframes.
Educational Requirements:

Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Information Science, Computer Science, a quantitative subject area (e.g., Science, Health Administration, Public Health), or a related healthcare field.
