Job Summary 
SEGA’s newly established Marketing Strategy team is responsible for defining KPIs, conducting performance measurement, and analyzing campaign impact across SEGA West’s PC and console titles. Leveraging extensive data sets, the team evaluates the effectiveness of marketing efforts on both first-party and direct-to-consumer (D2C) sales channels.

As a Data Analyst, you’ll collaborate closely with product marketing to define success metrics, design measurement frameworks, and deliver actionable insights that optimize marketing performance. This role requires deep expertise in brand lift studies, attribution modeling, and full-funnel campaign analysis. The ideal candidate is data-driven, highly analytical, and experienced in transforming complex datasets into strategic recommendations.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with Brand Marketing, Media, and CRM teams to develop strategies and assess campaign, channel, and customer segment performance to drive efficiency.

  • Define KPIs, benchmarks, and real-time measurement strategies to track marketing impact.

  • Use performance data to uncover opportunities for optimizing marketing spend.

  • Quantify the impact of social media engagement and earned/owned media on sales performance.

  • Deliver ad hoc reporting on campaign influence across traffic, sales, and brand lift across first-party and owned channels.

  • Support the design and execution of A/B testing and predictive analytics to refine creative assets and user experiences.

  • Participate in cross-functional collaboration through consistent in-person office attendance (minimum 3 days/week) at the Irvine, CA office to enable supervision, creative exchange, and effective workflow alignment.


Qualifications:

  • 6+ years of experience in data analytics with a strong focus on marketing and advertising.

  • Minimum 3 years of experience working with digital IP in gaming or entertainment.

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in a quantitative discipline such as Statistics, Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or Finance.

  • Advanced skills in Excel and experience using analytics platforms like Databricks.

  • Proficient in querying relational databases using SQL or similar languages.

  • Skilled in creating data visualizations with Power BI or equivalent tools.

  • Strong communication skills, capable of presenting complex findings to non-technical stakeholders.

  • Comfortable working with unstructured or incomplete data.
