 About the Role

Cheshire East Council is looking for a highly organised Data and Payments Business Support Officer to join our Children and Families Service, supporting the Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) team. You’ll manage communications, process data, and handle payment-related tasks that make a meaningful difference in young people’s lives.

You’ll work independently in a fast-paced environment while collaborating with a committed team, ensuring that data accuracy and compliance remain at the heart of everything you do.

 Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and respond to enquiries via the SEND Payments Inbox

  • Support the Finance and Data Quality Assurance Officer in managing payment processes and data

  • Maintain and interpret large volumes of sensitive data

  • Enter cost-related data into the client record management system

  • Ensure data protection and confidentiality compliance

 What You’ll Need

  • Strong understanding of SEND services and their operations

  • Proficiency in Excel and client data systems

  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills

  • Proven administrative experience

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently

  • A commitment to maintaining confidentiality and data protection standards

 Location

This role will be based at either the Crewe or Macclesfield office based on your preference. Occasional travel between both sites will be required.

 Interview Date

Interviews are planned for the week commencing 30 June 2025 and will take place in person.
