About the Role
Join our team supporting Bloomberg’s data centers—powering dynamic, global workloads across thousands of servers and network devices. In this role, you’ll add compute capacity, manage installations and cabling, and ensure service quality. You’ll monitor infrastructure, respond to issues, and help maintain resilience and reliability through proactive troubleshooting and process improvement.
This is a hands-on, third-shift (overnight) position, including weekends and some holidays, ideal for someone passionate about data center operations and eager to grow broad technical skills.
What You’ll Do

Manage data center events and support critical systems to ensure stability

Coordinate communication, documentation, and follow-up for operational activities

Assess risks, notify stakeholders, and maintain asset records and cabling diagrams

Investigate and resolve hardware, operating system, and network issues

Perform maintenance, installations, and physical repair of equipment

Gain deep familiarity with site infrastructure for effective incident response
What You’ll Need

Experience as a Linux/Unix system or network administrator

Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)

Knowledge of Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking

Strong organizational and communication skills

Willingness to perform physical tasks (e.g., lifting, walking, ladder use)
