Key Responsibilities of the Data Protection & Security Co-ordinator (Apprenticeship)
Data Protection and Security Tasks You’ll Manage:

Coordinate responses to Freedom of Information requests and Subject Access Requests.

Process personal data disclosures for patients, staff, and the public while adhering to legal requirements.

Investigate and manage data breaches, helping the Trust to improve its data security practices.

Assist in maintaining the NHS Data Security and Protection Toolkit.
Learning and Development in the Data Protection & Security Co-ordinator (Apprenticeship)
What You’ll Learn and Experience:

Gain hands-on experience with data protection legislation, including the Freedom of Information Act.

Understand and manage Subject Access Requests and disclosures.

Learn about the principles of the Confidentiality, Integrity, and Availability (CIA) triad in data management.

Receive on-the-job training and monthly 1:1 support from your supervisor.

Complete a 19-month Level 4 apprenticeship with a comprehensive induction program.
