Data Scientist

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute complex database queries to extract, analyze, and manipulate structured and unstructured datasets, optimizing business processes and automating report generation.

• Design and refine business analytics workflows for a U.S. Government organization, improving data analysis and visualization for operational insights.

• Assist in developing investigative analysis capabilities and provide technical support to maintain data integrity and accessibility for effective decision-making.

• Collaborate within a small team while managing independent tasks, including help desk support, ticketing data flows, report generation, and dashboard visualization for key performance indicators (KPIs).

• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.

• 3+ years of experience in data analytics and data management.

• Strong data wrangling skills.

• Experience in financial crimes analysis is a plus.

• Active Top Secret security clearance required.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Advanced SQL proficiency for querying and data manipulation.

• Expertise in data wrangling using R, Python, SAS/SAS Macro Language, or Visual Basic.

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with a self-motivated approach.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Strong attention to detail and adaptability in a dynamic environment.

• Proficiency in data visualization tools such as Power BI, Excel, R, or Python.

• Experience with Microsoft Power Query.
