Your Future Team
You’ll join Atlassian’s world-class Data Science team, which drives insights that shape product decisions and customer experiences. The team partners with Product Managers, Researchers, Data Engineers, Marketers, Privacy experts, and Executives to analyze engagement, design strategies, and measure product success. By leveraging advanced data science techniques, the team influences product roadmaps and business strategy.
Key Responsibilities

Collaborate on diverse product and business problems with cross-functional partners.

Apply quantitative analysis, experimentation, and data visualization to solve complex challenges.

Develop hypotheses, design experiments, and test methodologies to guide decision-making.

Provide actionable insights that influence product roadmaps and strategic choices.

Monitor product performance using key metrics, forecasts, and data-driven trends.
-
Translate findings into clear recommendations and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
Minimum Qualifications
-
Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in a STEM field such as Statistics, Mathematics, Physics, Econometrics, or Computer Science.

2+ years of experience in Data Science or related fields.
-
Strong proficiency in SQL or another data manipulation language (Python, R).
-
Skilled in storytelling with data and using visualization tools (Tableau, Looker, R-Shiny, MicroStrategy, SAP Business Objects).

Solid grasp of statistical methods such as regressions, A/B testing, clustering, and probability.

Proven ability to apply analytics to projects that influenced business outcomes.

Strong written communication skills for reporting and analysis documentation.
Preferred Qualifications

4+ years of experience in Data Science, or 2+ years plus a postgraduate degree in a related field.

Familiarity with SaaS business models and relevant metrics.
Compensation
Atlassian designs equitable, competitive compensation programs. Salary ranges vary by geographic zone within the U.S.:

Zone A: $153,000 – $199,750

Zone B: $137,700 – $179,775
-
Zone C: $127,800 – $166,850
