Key Responsibilities

Conduct research and develop AI metrics, measurement systems, and evaluation methods for emerging technologies.

Support the creation and adoption of AI standards, best practices, and policies in alignment with federal guidance.

Test AI models and algorithms to ensure compliance with design specifications, ethical principles, and data requirements.

Implement comprehensive frameworks for assessing AI performance, bias, transparency, and robustness.

Integrate Office of Management and Budget (OMB) and Department of Defense (DOD) AI ethical principles into testing strategies.

Develop and execute Responsible AI (RAI) test strategies to evaluate model reliability and alignment with policy.

Provide expert technical advice to stakeholders regarding AI system requirements, data pipelines, and analytics infrastructure.
Required Qualifications

One year of specialized experience at the GS-14 level or equivalent in the public or private sector.

Proven ability to apply data science, statistical analysis, and AI model evaluation techniques to complex IT systems.

Expertise in developing evaluation metrics to assess model accuracy, fairness, transparency, and bias.

Experience with AI testing, validation, and verification to ensure reliability, safety, and compliance with standards.

Skilled in translating technical results into clear visualizations and insights for non-technical audiences.

Strong understanding of ethical AI principles, data integrity, and model governance.
