About the Role
Join Horizontal Talent as a Data Scientist, where innovation meets impact. In this fully remote role, you’ll leverage advanced analytics, natural language processing, and machine learning to turn complex data into meaningful insights. Using Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and cutting-edge AI tools like Vertex AI, you’ll develop scalable solutions that drive data-informed decision-making across teams and industries.
Key Responsibilities

Lead the development and implementation of code to analyze open-text datasets.

Conduct trend and sentiment analysis to measure change over time and uncover actionable insights.

Utilize GCP resources (including Vertex AI) for scalable data analysis and optimization.

Collaborate cross-functionally with analytics, engineering, and business teams to deliver data-driven solutions.

Ensure accuracy, integrity, and reproducibility of all data and analysis workflows.
Required Skills & Qualifications

Strong proficiency in Python for data analysis, modeling, and automation.

Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), especially Vertex AI.

Ability to integrate and call Large Language Models (LLMs) via Python in Jupyter Notebooks.

Proven analytical, statistical, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications

GCP Certification or equivalent cloud computing experience.

Hands-on experience with data visualization tools and storytelling through data.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills for presenting insights.
