🌟 Your Impact

As a Data Scientist at ModMed, you’ll design and deliver production-ready machine learning solutions that improve patient care and business efficiency. You will:

  • Build advanced ML models for prediction, personalization, classification, automation, and natural language processing.

  • Translate complex business problems into scalable ML solutions.

  • Own the end-to-end lifecycle of models — from feature engineering to deployment, monitoring, and retraining.

  • Analyze large healthcare datasets to generate actionable insights that shape product strategy.

  • Partner with data engineers to ensure clean, reliable, and well-structured data pipelines.

  • Lead cross-functional ML projects with product, engineering, and operations teams.

  • Develop dashboards, visualizations, and reports to communicate findings to technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Contribute to ML infrastructure for experimentation, training, and deployment.

What You’ll Need to Succeed

  • PhD in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or related quantitative field.

  • Proven research excellence — publications in top ML/AI venues (NeurIPS, ICML, ICLR, ACL, CVPR, AAAI, KDD, etc.).

  • Hands-on experience with machine learning in production (preferably in healthcare or other data-rich domains).

  • Strong Python skills and experience with core ML libraries.

  • Familiarity with MLOps tools and cloud environments (AWS preferred).

  • Solid understanding of statistics, experimental design, and data wrangling.

  • Experience with SQL, Spark, or distributed data systems a plus.

  • Knowledge of healthcare data standards (HL7, FHIR) and HIPAA compliance a plus.
