About the Role
CHA Consulting is seeking an experienced Database Administrator (DBA) to join our Corporate – ERP & Data Analytics Team. This position can be based in our Albany, NY office or performed remotely.
As a DBA at CHA, you will be responsible for overseeing, optimizing, and maintaining critical Microsoft SQL Server databases across both on-premises and Microsoft Azure cloud environments. You’ll play a key role in ensuring performance, availability, scalability, and security of our databases while supporting enterprise data solutions that drive meaningful projects.
Key Responsibilities

Administer, monitor, and optimize Microsoft SQL Server databases (on-prem and Azure).

Design and implement scalable database solutions with strong security and backup strategies.

Apply patches, upgrades, and manage day-to-day database operations.

Collaborate with BI and development teams on schema design, query optimization, and indexing.

Deploy and manage SSIS packages and support data integration workflows.

Implement and manage data replication across sources.

Ensure compliance with high availability, disaster recovery, and data security principles.

Proactively monitor performance using tuning tools and monitoring solutions.
Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.

5+ years of experience in Microsoft SQL Server administration.

Proven experience with Microsoft Azure cloud database services.

Proficiency in T-SQL and PowerShell scripting (dbatools exposure preferred).

Hands-on experience with SSIS package deployment and management.

Strong knowledge of replication, HA/DR, and database security.

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Salary Range
💰 $88,000 – $110,000
(Compensation is based on experience, education, training, and market benchmarks.)
