Role Snapshot

Pay: $95,000 – $125,000

Location/Schedule: Remote or On-site, Full-Time

Purpose: Architect and operate databases that power AI, recommendations, and high-throughput systems with reliability and performance at the core.
Key Responsibilities
-
Architect and scale PostgreSQL (indexing, partitioning, replication, HA/DR).
-
Lead the design and governance of graph and vector databases.
-
Troubleshoot bottlenecks and optimize query plans for high performance.
-
Build observability using Prometheus, Grafana, and pganalyze.
-
Define and enforce database security standards.
-
Automate processes with IaC and CI/CD pipelines.
-
Mentor engineers and drive long-term database strategy.
Must-Have Qualifications
-
5+ years managing production databases with deep expertise in PostgreSQL.

Proven experience with graph and vector databases at scale.

Strong background in backup, restore, and disaster recovery.

Hands-on skills with Kubernetes operators and cloud-native DB services.

Leadership experience in guiding teams and setting reliability standards.
