About the Role

Diné Development Corporation (DDC) is seeking a skilled DB2 Mainframe Specialist to support and maintain DB2 environments on z/OS mainframe systems. This role ensures compliance with STIG and SRG standards, oversees installations and upgrades, and provides technical expertise for database software in a mission-critical environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain DB2 and related software in compliance with STIG/SRG standards:

    • Keep software at supported versions.

    • Apply security patches within required timeframes.

    • Maintain accurate documentation.

  • Manage and maintain all DB2 software exits, regardless of programming language.

  • Provide technical support for DB2 on DISA mainframe systems, including troubleshooting, upgrades, and customer issue resolution.

  • Deliver detailed reports on customer questions/issues to the Contracting Officer’s Representative (COR).

  • Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain DB2 software on IBM z/OS mainframe platforms.

  • Support database migrations and application software upgrades.

  • Follow departmental SOPs, ensuring tickets, change requests, and documentation are updated and accurate.

  • Use SMP/E to install and maintain IBM mainframe software.

Qualifications

Required Certification (IAT Level 1 – at least one):

  • A+ CE

  • CCNA Security

  • Network+ CE

  • SSCP

Clearance: Secret (Required)

Preferred Skills & Experience:

  • Proven experience with DB2 in mainframe environments.

  • Strong understanding of STIG/SRG compliance requirements.

  • Proficiency with SMP/E and z/OS systems.

  • Experience in database migrations, software upgrades, and technical troubleshooting.
