Deputy Director of Resources – Finance (Deputy s151)

We are now seeking an experienced Deputy Director to drive exceptional financial management and performance across the organisation, ensuring the best possible outcomes for our residents.

About the Role

As Deputy Director of Resources, you will be a key part of the council’s corporate leadership team, working closely with the Director of Resources, senior officers, councillors, and external partners. Your role will be crucial in leading transformational change and ensuring the long-term sustainability of the council’s finances.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading multiple financial teams and driving innovation in financial management.
  • Developing and implementing the Medium-Term Financial Strategy, shaping the future of council services.
  • Overseeing financial performance, planning, and resource allocation to maximize value for residents.
  • Collaborating across departments to enhance financial efficiency and sustainable investment.
