Key Responsibilities:
1) DevOps Leadership:
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to the DevOps team.
- Promote the adoption of DevOps best practices and methodologies across the organization.
2) Standardized Processes:
- Define and implement standardized DevOps processes, tools, and workflows on a global scale.
- Collaborate with local and global teams to ensure consistency in development, testing, and deployment practices.
3) Cross-Cultural Collaboration:
- Foster effective collaboration and communication across culturally diverse global teams.
4) Infrastructure as Code (IaC):
- Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of scalable, automated infrastructure using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, and CloudFormation.
- Ensure infrastructure is reliable, secure, and scalable.
5) CI/CD Pipeline Management:
- Architect, develop, and optimize CI/CD pipelines to streamline continuous integration, testing, and deployment.
6) Cloud Architecture and Optimization:
- Design and enhance cloud-based architectures across platforms such as AWS, Azure, GCP, and Oracle Cloud.
- Implement best practices to ensure security, cost efficiency, reliability, and scalability.
7) Monitoring and Alerting:
- Oversee the implementation of robust monitoring and alerting solutions for applications and infrastructure.
8) Incident Response and Support:
- Lead incident response efforts, ensuring swift resolution and the implementation of preventive measures.
9) Security and Compliance:
- Work closely with security teams to enforce and enhance security best practices.
- Ensure adherence to industry standards and internal security policies.
10) Documentation:
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of DevOps processes, procedures, and configurations.
- Provide training and support to enable teams to adopt self-service DevOps practices.
11) Containerization and Orchestration:
- Drive the adoption of containerization technologies such as Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
- Develop and manage strategies for deploying containerized applications efficiently.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Hands-on expertise in AWS infrastructure design, implementation, and operations, including instances, containers, storage, networking, cloud security, and databases (e.g., ECS, EKS, EBS, S3, VPC, RDS, CloudWatch).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in cloud infrastructure operations.
- Proven experience in infrastructure automation using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform and Ansible.
- Strong background in developing operational tools to enhance efficiency and automation.
