About the Role:

As a DevOps Engineer at Forian, you will play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining the infrastructure that powers our data-driven products and platforms. You will lead initiatives to implement advanced DevOps tools and processes that enhance deployment speed, improve system security, and enable seamless continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD).

Your deep expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC)—especially using Terraform on AWS—will be vital to supporting large-scale data pipelines and analytics environments. You will work in close collaboration with our Data Engineering and IT teams to deploy new data solutions, manage cloud resources, and optimize system performance. This role requires strong problem-solving skills, high attention to detail, and a collaborative, customer-centric mindset.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, build, and maintain scalable, secure Big Data analytics environments to support enterprise-grade data platforms.

  • Proactively maintain and update cloud infrastructure to ensure system reliability, security, and performance.

  • Lead the execution of deployment strategies and release cycles, ensuring efficient and error-free rollouts.

  • Continuously refine and optimize CI/CD pipelines for speed, scalability, and maintainability.

  • Collaborate with Data Engineering teams to define and implement infrastructure and security protocols for new data pipelines and analytics products, aligned with best practices.


Minimum Qualifications:

  • 3–5 years of hands-on experience designing and managing DevOps and Continuous Delivery solutions in production environments.

  • 5+ years of experience working within Amazon Web Services (AWS) infrastructure, with a strong command of core services such as EC2, S3, and RDS, including provisioning, scaling, and operational management.

  • 3–5 years of experience deploying and managing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, including IAM role management and applying advanced security configurations.

  • Proven experience implementing CI/CD pipelines tailored to Data Engineering workflows, supporting multi-terabyte datasets and frequent pipeline updates.

  • Strong proficiency in Git and GitHub Actions for version control and automation.

  • Familiarity with workflow orchestration tools like Apache Airflow or Dagster.

  • Excellent collaboration, communication, and interpersonal skills, with a track record of working effectively on technical teams.

  • Experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and tools such as JIRA.

  • Competency in system administration for both Linux and Windows operating systems.


Preferred Skills:

  • 1–2 years of experience with cloud-based data platforms such as Snowflake and Databricks.

  • Strong scripting capabilities in Python and Bash for automating infrastructure and data workflows.

  • Advanced administrative experience with hybrid Linux/Windows server environments.

  • In-depth knowledge of AWS services relevant to data engineering, including EMR, Glue, Athena, Redshift, Kinesis, and Lake Formation.

  • Experience in managing and monitoring production-grade Big Data systems.

  • Proficiency with monitoring and logging tools like CloudWatch, CloudTrail, GuardDuty, and Grafana.

  • Strong understanding of cloud security practices for data infrastructure.

  • Interest and experience in mentoring team members and promoting DevOps best practices across engineering functions.
