Job Summary
Zoom is seeking an experienced DevOps Infrastructure Engineer to design and implement zero-downtime solutions ensuring 99.99% service availability across global datacenters. In this role, you’ll manage disaster recovery, troubleshoot complex production issues, and support large-scale distributed systems using Linux, AWS, Kubernetes, ELK stack, and automation tools. You’ll also participate in on-call rotations every 8–9 weeks.
Key Responsibilities

Design and implement highly available (99.99%) services across datacenters.

Set up disaster recovery between regional datacenters.

Troubleshoot complex production issues related to performance and functionality.

Collaborate with cloud vendors, infrastructure, and engineering teams to ensure security and service availability.

Provide deep outage troubleshooting for backend systems and services.

Implement CI/CD models for system deployment and configuration.
What We’re Looking For

Education: BS in related field (MS preferred).

Experience: 5+ years in DevOps/SRE with Linux systems (RedHat, CentOS, Ubuntu).

Skills & Tools:

Strong GitOps knowledge (GitHub/GitLab) with Bash or Python scripting.

AWS expertise (VPC, EC2, NLB/ALB, Elasticsearch, DynamoDB, EKS, S3).

Familiarity with automation tools (Ansible, Jenkins) and deployment troubleshooting (Nginx, ETCD).

Experience with Kubernetes, ELK stack, and ideally XMPP.

Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills.

Prior production on-call support experience.
