About the Role
Norstella is seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer to join our mission-driven team. You will design, implement, and maintain cloud-based infrastructure, focusing on AWS services, serverless architectures, Kubernetes, and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform/CloudFormation). This role ensures the reliability, scalability, and security of Norstella’s systems while supporting life-saving therapies worldwide.

Key Responsibilities
Cloud Infrastructure & Automation

Design, deploy, and maintain AWS infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, CDK).

Implement serverless architectures with AWS Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, S3, and related services.

Build and deploy applications using automated, repeatable processes.
Monitoring & Optimization

Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize cloud-based applications with New Relic, Grafana, and Prometheus.

Ensure high performance, reliability, and security of multi-tenant SaaS applications.
CI/CD & Collaboration

Automate processes using CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps, Jenkins, TeamCity, or GitLab.

Collaborate closely with development teams to ensure scalability, reliability, and compliance.

Continuously improve infrastructure, tools, and processes to align with evolving business and technology trends.
Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.

4–5+ years of experience in a DevOps role with a focus on AWS services and Infrastructure as Code.

Hands-on experience with Terraform, CloudFormation, or CDK.

Proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or JavaScript.

Experience with serverless architectures, microservices, and containerization (Kubernetes).

Familiarity with monitoring and analytics tools like Grafana, Prometheus, and New Relic.

Strong Linux administration/engineering skills.

Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex environments.

Strong communication and collaboration skills for cross-functional teamwork.
Nice-to-Have Skills

Advanced knowledge of cloud-scale and micro/macro-services architectures.

Experience operating high-performance, fault-tolerant, multi-tenant SaaS applications.
