About the Role
ICF’s Health Engineering Solutions team is hiring a DevOps Engineer to support the development of a best-in-class healthcare reporting service. This role involves building secure, scalable AWS infrastructure, implementing CI/CD pipelines, and collaborating with diverse technical teams to deliver high-quality cloud-based solutions.
This position is contingent on a contract award, but interviews and offers are currently being conducted in advance.
Key Responsibilities

Design and implement AWS cloud-based infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).

Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines for automated builds, tests, and deployments.

Collaborate with application, networking, and security teams to ensure system reliability.

Set up monitoring tools such as Amazon CloudWatch and Splunk for performance tracking.

Automate environment setup and deployments to enhance efficiency and security.

Translate business requirements into technical solutions using Agile and DevSecOps practices.
Required Qualifications
-
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field.

5+ years’ experience managing AWS infrastructure and automation.

3+ years’ experience creating CI/CD pipelines using open-source tools.

3+ years’ hands-on experience with Terraform.

Experience working in Agile or Scrum environments.

Must be able to obtain and maintain Public Trust clearance.

Must reside and work in the U.S. (no foreign IP or VPN connections allowed).

Must have lived in the U.S. for 3 of the last 5 years.
Preferred Qualifications

AWS Certified Solutions Architect (Associate or Professional).

Experience with Splunk dashboards or similar monitoring tools.

Knowledge of AWS multi-account architecture (Control Tower, GuardRails, Transit Gateway).

Understanding of security and compliance frameworks (NIST, FISMA, FedRAMP).

Familiarity with MLOps tools such as SageMaker, Apache Airflow, or Looker.

Working knowledge of Linux systems.
