Core Responsibilities

In this role, you will lead a dynamic team of DevOps engineers, focusing on automation, data security, and infrastructure ownership to ensure high availability, scalability, and reliability across all systems.

  • Mentor the team on Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles, emphasizing automation, observability, self-healing systems, scalability, and root cause analysis.
  • Collaborate with development teams to enhance system reliability, implement actionable monitoring frameworks, and establish effective on-call and incident response processes.
  • Provide strategic guidance in DevOps best practices, including managing multi-cloud infrastructures, advising development leads on project sizing, and identifying potential risks to prevent misaligned implementations.
  • Deliver full-stack tier 1-3 technical support to technology teams and business units.
  • Integrate new technologies into existing environments to enhance efficiency and performance.
  • Automate deployment processes across the tech stack, optimizing for speed, security, and scalability.
  • Develop and maintain tools that accelerate release management and streamline deployment pipelines.
  • Analyze system logs to proactively identify and resolve issues.
  • Establish infrastructure standards and best practices, prioritizing automation and efficiency.
  • Design and implement robust server-based solutions within a high-availability DevOps environment.
  • Manage configuration, dependencies, documentation, and deployment schedules for all environments and microservices.
  • Build and maintain monitoring and logging systems to ensure operational excellence.
  • Collaborate closely with application engineers to establish and enforce operational standards.
  • Optimize cloud resource utilization to prevent sprawl and ensure right-sizing of assets.
  • Ensure all processes and technologies meet SOC1 and SOC2 compliance standards and produce necessary audit artifacts.
  • Design and implement disaster recovery and remote service strategies.
  • Conduct regular system and software audits, as well as capacity planning.
  • Stay aligned with application development teams to ensure seamless system integration.
  • Collaborate with Infrastructure and Operations teams to implement ITIL processes and tools.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and innovations to identify opportunities for cost savings and competitive advantage.
  • Work cross-functionally with developers and configuration management teams to adopt best practices.
  • Participate in bug management, feature releases, and contribute to git branching strategies.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Key Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field strongly preferred.
  • 5+ years of leadership experience in managing DevOps services.
  • 5+ years of experience working within Agile DevOps environments.
  • Proven experience managing incidents while ensuring privacy, security, and regulatory compliance.
  • Expertise in monitoring and managing cloud and virtualized environments, particularly within PaaS ecosystems.
  • Strong background in engineering and managing enterprise-level DevOps implementations.
  • Proficiency with AWS tools including EC2, RDS, S3, Route53, ELB, CloudFront, Directory Services, and AMI.
  • Hands-on experience automating Linux infrastructure on cloud platforms.
  • In-depth experience with release pipelines, including blue/green deployments.
  • Familiarity with tools such as PowerShell, Jenkins, GitHub, and Docker within a Continuous Delivery pipeline.
  • Solid networking knowledge, including load balancing, firewalls, proxies, ACLs, DNS, security practices, and SOC compliance.
  • Strong scripting abilities (Bash, Ansible, Python, PowerShell).
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, and Azure Resource Manager Templates.
  • Knowledge of security and audit requirements related to account provisioning and logging.
  • Solid understanding of Git repositories and release management branching strategies.
  • Hands-on experience with containerization (Kubernetes, Docker, LXC) and serverless technologies (Lambda, Fargate, Cloud Functions, Step Functions).
  • Familiarity with Linux and Windows system administration, troubleshooting, and configuration validation.
  • Understanding of database architecture and SQL performance troubleshooting.
