About Us

UCL’s Organisational Development (OD) department offers extensive learning and career development opportunities to over 16,000 colleagues in academic, research, teaching and professional services. The Learning and Leadership Development (LLD) Team is a key part of Organisational Development, responsible for all aspects of learning and leadership development.

UCL currently has a hybrid working policy. You’ll be required to work in our Bloomsbury office 2 days per week, and definitely be present at one collaborative working day per week (usually Monday). UCL is a flexible employer and job-share and flexible working arrangements will be considered.

About The Role

In this job you’ll play a pivotal part in the digital transformation of our staff learning offer. You’ll shape, implement, manage and develop our offer to ensure alignment with our strategic goals, and provide engaging and impactful blended learning experiences with tailored user journeys.

You’ll use your expertise in learning design methodologies (including new and emerging approaches such as AI technologies) alongside your knowledge of adult learning theories to build and implement a digital learning approach that provides learners with enhanced learning pathways, and enables the OD team to provide accessible and high-quality online learning experiences.

You’ll lead on UCL’s portfolio of mandatory and role specific training, playing an essential part in ensuring this training is kept up to date, refreshed and in line with UCL’s accessibility policy. You’ll also have line management responsibility and supervisory responsibility for learning technology services provided by suppliers and contractors.

Working with members of the OD Talent team and stakeholders to ensure excellent service provision and cohesion across all parts of the university, you will help in ensuring a smooth transition to integrate existing learning management systems into UCL’s new digital platform and providing learning design and curation expertise to develop engaging learning and talent management content.
