We are looking for a highly skilled Director of Epidemiology (M/F/D) to lead epidemiological research and safety studies in the pharmaceutical industry. In this role, you will design and execute research activities addressing drug safety, regulatory submissions, and real-world data (RWD) analysis. This position offers a unique opportunity to work with cutting-edge methodologies in epidemiology and pharmacoepidemiology while contributing to the advancement of drug safety.

Key Responsibilities of a Director of Epidemiology (M/F/D)

  • Design and execute epidemiological studies focused on drug safety and regulatory requirements.
  • Identify the best epidemiological and pharmacoepidemiological methods and data sources for research questions.
  • Contribute epidemiologic expertise to safety evaluations, risk assessments, and regulatory documentation.
  • Develop study concepts, protocols, and statistical analysis plans for pharmacoepidemiologic studies.
  • Support the execution and reporting of real-world evidence (RWE) studies using CPRD and other RWD sources.

Essential Qualifications for the Director of Epidemiology (M/F/D) Role

  • PhD in Epidemiology, Pharmacoepidemiology, or a related field (preferred).
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in epidemiology/pharmacoepidemiology and drug safety.
  • At least 3 years of experience in a CRO or pharmaceutical industry setting.
  • Proven expertise in conducting pharmacoepidemiology studies using RWD, including CPRD.
  • Strong background in oncology epidemiology is an advantage.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Ability to collaborate in a multinational, cross-functional environment.

  • Duration: 15 months
  • Work Schedule: 5 days per week
  • Location: Greater Munich area (100% remote possible with travel requirements)
