Ambulatory Programs Manager
Position Overview:
UVA Health is seeking a dedicated leader to oversee the clinical, administrative, operational, and financial functions of ambulatory programs across multiple clinic settings. Reporting to the Service Line Administrator, this role ensures efficient patient access, high-quality care, regulatory compliance, financial integrity, and patient satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage outpatient operations, working closely with physicians, nursing, and administrative teams.

Recruit, onboard, and develop staff, fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence.

Align operational strategies with clinical and financial goals to optimize productivity and efficiency.

Oversee revenue cycle management, including billing, financial counseling, and regulatory audits.

Direct the implementation and optimization of outpatient IT systems and scheduling platforms.

Develop and manage operating and capital budgets, making strategic recommendations.

Ensure compliance with Joint Commission, OSHA, and State Health Department regulations.

Promote a culture of service excellence, patient safety, and employee engagement.

Represent the department in committees and leadership initiatives.
Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s degree required. If an RN, a BSN is required. A Master’s degree must be obtained within four years of hire.

Experience: 5+ years in progressive leadership roles, preferably in Primary Care/Medicine. Epic implementation and clinical scheduling experience highly desirable.

Preferred: BSN/RN licensure. Strong communication and multitasking skills.
