About the Role
Desjardins Insurance – Disability Case Manager , you’ll be at the heart of Desjardins Insurance’s mission—to support our members and clients during disability claims by ensuring compassionate assistance and a smooth return-to-work journey. Your role helps maintain financial security for our members while effectively managing claims in a human, modern, and efficient way.

Key Responsibilities

Develop personalized recovery and return-to-work strategies

Communicate with insured individuals, policyholders, medical teams, and internal stakeholders via phone and email

Review, adjudicate, and approve disability claims according to group insurance policies

Determine eligibility periods, calculate benefits, and process payments

Prepare documentation for rehabilitation coordinators and collaborate with medical consultants and legal advisors when needed

Ensure ongoing case management and follow-up for short-term and long-term disability claims
What You Bring
-
College diploma in a relevant field
-
Minimum 3 years of experience in disability case management, group insurance, or as a healthcare professional
-
Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Knowledge of group insurance policies and claims adjudication processes

Fluency in French (for Quebec-based roles)

Advanced-intermediate English proficiency for working with English-speaking clients and tools
-
Ability to analyze medical and administrative documents and apply sound judgment
