Job Description

Tyson Foods is seeking a dedicated Dispatcher B-Shift RVI-Harmony, NC to manage and coordinate nightly transportation operations. This role is pivotal in ensuring timely dispatching, monitoring load progress, and serving as the primary contact during the night shift. The position is based on-site at our RVI-Harmony Truck Shop, with potential for remote work in the future.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee dispatch operations during the night shift, ensuring efficient delivery coordination.

  • Communicate effectively with drivers, mechanics, plant personnel, and leadership using Microsoft Teams, phone, and mobile devices.

  • Utilize transportation management systems and GPS tools to track routes and support delivery execution.

  • Maintain accurate logs of dispatch activities and address any operational issues promptly.

  • Ensure compliance with Tyson policies, safety procedures, and transportation regulations.

  • Provide exceptional customer service through responsive communication.

Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Teams).

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Excellent customer service orientation and ability to remain composed under pressure.

  • Organized with the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.

  • Preferred: Minimum six months of experience in transportation dispatch or logistics.

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; additional logistics training is a plus.

  • Willingness to work night shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed.
