Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and customer-focused Driver responsible for the safe and efficient delivery and pickup of storage containers to and from customer locations. This role requires maintaining a high level of professionalism and customer service while ensuring timely, incident-free operations.

Key Responsibilities

Safely operate a commercial vehicle equipped with a patented lift system to load and unload storage containers at customer sites, adhering strictly to safety protocols and procedures.
Conduct and document daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, including checks on the lift system.
Handle additional or unscheduled deliveries as required to meet operational demands.
Utilize a company-provided handheld device for verifying deliveries, routing, and real-time communication.
Operate forklifts and/or overhead cranes to manage container handling as needed.
Clean, inspect, and maintain the appearance and integrity of containers to ensure readiness for customer delivery.
Complete and coordinate rental documentation and process customer payments when necessary.
Communicate customer inquiries or concerns to the Driver Lead or Market Manager and record relevant notes.
Perform minor maintenance and field repairs on containers and lift systems both at the site and at the storage center.
Provide operational support within the storage center as needed, including backup tasks.
Maintain a clean and organized truck cab and exterior, free of debris and clutter.
Carry out additional responsibilities as assigned by management.

Supervisory Responsibilities

Reports to: Market Manager or Territory Manager
This role does not include direct supervision of other employees.

Compensation & Benefits

Hourly Pay Rate: $24.50/hour

Required Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent
Valid CDL Class B license (must not have an air brake restriction)
Must meet all PODS Driver Qualification Standards
Valid driver’s license and ability to maintain it in good standing
Minimum age of 21 years (required for insurance eligibility)
Possession of or ability to obtain a valid DOT Medical Examiner’s Certificate (minimum one-year certification)
Basic proficiency in math and the ability to complete documentation accurately
Experience using electronic devices and basic computer software preferred
Ability and willingness to complete a mandatory 2-week New Hire Driver Training Program
Equivalent education, training, or experience will be considered
