Dual Phlebotomist and Administrator

Location: Winton House, Stratford-upon-Avon
Contracted Hours: 37.5 hours per week (09:30 – 17:30, Monday to Friday)
Salary: £26,000 – £30,000 per annum (depending on experience)

Position Overview:

We are looking for a compassionate and proactive Phlebotomist and Administrator to join our clinic team in Stratford-upon-Avon. In this dual role, you’ll provide clinical support through phlebotomy services and assist our Operations team with essential administrative tasks. Whether you’re experienced or looking to train in phlebotomy, we’d love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities:

Phlebotomy Duties:

  • Draw blood samples safely and efficiently from patients.

  • Reassure and calm patients who may be anxious about the procedure.

  • Register and label samples accurately; prepare for shipment to our partner lab, Nationwide Pathology.

  • Maintain accurate patient records in Semble.

  • Order and manage phlebotomy supplies and clinical waste.

  • Ensure treatment rooms are clean, well-stocked, and patient-ready.

  • Fulfill chaperone responsibilities and complete mandatory training.

Administrative Duties:

  • Schedule appointments and manage clinician diaries.

  • Process invoices and collect payments for appointments, prescriptions, and blood tests.

  • Draft and send consultation summary letters.

  • Liaise with clinicians and patients for aftercare via phone, email, and webchat.

  • Offer refreshments to patients and ensure kitchen supplies are maintained.

Skills and Experience:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Good command of spoken and written English.

  • Strong listening and customer service skills.

  • Confident using computers and digital systems.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Strong organisational and time management abilities.

  • Compassionate, patient-focused attitude.

Phlebotomy training can be provided if required.
