We’re hiring an Early Years Practitioner to join a dedicated team supporting children aged 0–5 in a stimulating, diverse, and safe nursery environment. As an Early Years Practitioner, you’ll help deliver high-quality childcare that reflects each child’s individual developmental, emotional, and cultural needs. This role is ideal for someone with a Level 3 childcare qualification and a genuine love for working with young children in a supportive NHS setting.

 Early Years Practitioner – Your Skills and Responsibilities

To excel in this Early Years Practitioner role, you should:

  • Hold a Level 3 qualification (NNEB/DCE/NVQ/BTEC in Childcare)

  • Have hands-on experience with children aged 0–5 years

  • Be knowledgeable about EYFS and childcare legislation

  • Show initiative in planning activities and adapting to children’s interests

  • Maintain accurate documentation of observations and reports

  • Build strong relationships with parents, staff, and professionals

  • Foster a culture of diversity, equality, and inclusion

  • Participate in training, team meetings, and quality assurance efforts

You’ll work collaboratively with a supportive team, primarily in one age group room, with flexibility to rotate across other rooms and North Bristol Trust childcare sites.
