Position Summary:

Performing Arts Fort Worth (PAFW) is seeking a highly organized, proactive, and community-driven Education Assistant to support its broad range of educational and community engagement programs. From school field trips to summer camps, this role ensures a smooth experience for students, educators, patrons, and internal teams across all education initiatives at Bass Performance Hall.

Key Responsibilities:

Program & Event Coordination

  • Support the Children’s Education Program (CEP), student matinees, summer camps, and workshops

  • Coordinate seating, ticketing, registration, surveys, and communication with schools

  • Act as on-site liaison during education events

  • Track and manage Red Oak Book distribution

Community & Internal Engagement

  • Liaise with local school districts, teachers, volunteers, and community partners

  • Coordinate Young Patrons Club (YPC) events and special initiatives (e.g., Broadway at the Bass Reading List)

  • Represent PAFW at school/community events and career fairs

  • Collaborate with Marketing for event communications

Administrative & Office Support

  • Maintain electronic records and reporting for internal and board use

  • Use Tessitura for seating and registration tasks

  • Occasionally provide backup support for office operations (mail, deposits, filing, phones)

Qualifications & Requirements:

 High school diploma or equivalent (some college preferred)
 Minimum 2 years of experience in nonprofit or arts administration
 Strong organizational and customer service skills
 Excellent written and verbal communication
 Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
 Ability to work independently and with a team
 Knowledge of Tessitura and Momentous Elite (or ability to learn)
 Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and work evening/weekend events
 Valid Texas driver’s license

Work Environment & Physical Demands:

  • Usual office conditions and frequent on-site work at Bass Hall and events

  • Must be comfortable working in close proximity with the public and co-workers

  • Regular sitting, walking, lifting, reaching, and occasional heavy lifting of books or equipment

  • Use of standard office equipment and radios
