About the Role
We are currently seeking a part-time Education Coordinator to join our team based in Teynham. In this role, you will work closely with foster parents, schools, and multi-agency professionals across the South region to monitor and support the educational progress of children and young people in our care.

Key Responsibilities

Monitor the educational progress of all children supported by the Teynham Centre

Provide guidance to foster parents, staff, and educators on education-related matters

Attend multidisciplinary meetings to support Personal Education Plans (PEPs) and Childcare Plans

Develop and contribute to ISP’s education policies and procedures

Collaborate with virtual schools, local authorities, and educational professionals

Offer practical advice to schools working with ISP children

Maintain accurate and up-to-date education case records

Champion the educational needs and entitlements of looked after children

Support safeguarding and child protection through informed decision-making
What We’re Looking For

Relevant experience in education, preferably across all Key Stages

Experience working with children with complex needs (experience with Looked After Children is highly desirable)

Ability to assess and respond to complex educational challenges with creativity and flexibility

Strong knowledge of educational entitlements and support mechanisms for vulnerable children

Excellent communication and partnership-building skills with internal and external stakeholders

Proven ability to maintain accurate records and contribute to strategic education planning
