Education Safeguarding Officer – Ensure Student Safety
Join Gloucestershire County Council as an Education Safeguarding Officer and play a crucial role in safeguarding students across the county. As an Education Safeguarding Officer, you will work with the MASH Education Team, investigating and responding to safeguarding concerns, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements, and maintaining a safe learning environment for all.
Education Safeguarding Officer – Key Responsibilities

Safeguarding Management: Respond to safeguarding concerns, conduct thorough investigations, and ensure compliance with child protection guidelines.

Collaboration: Work closely with the MASH Education Team, Local Area Designated Officers, and senior leaders in schools.

Quality Assurance: Review and quality assure setting investigations, ensuring high standards in safeguarding practices.

Monitoring and Reporting: Regularly monitor education settings and provide clear, coherent reports on safeguarding matters.
Education Safeguarding Officer – What We Are Looking For

Strong understanding of safeguarding legislation and statutory guidance.

Prior experience as a Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) or extensive experience working with schools.

Proven experience working with children, young people, and families.

Excellent communication, investigation, and report-writing skills.
