Join Us as an Education Training and Employment (ETE) Advisor to Support Care Experienced Young People
Are you passionate about helping care-experienced young people? The London Borough of Bromley is hiring an Education Training and Employment (ETE) Advisor to join our Active Involvement Team. We support over 270 young people aged 18+ who are cared for by the borough, helping them achieve independence and success. As an ETE Advisor, you will play a vital role in assisting these young people as they transition to education, training, and employment.
What Will You Do as an Education Training and Employment (ETE) Advisor?
As an Education Training and Employment (ETE) Advisor, your responsibilities will include:

Supporting young people in finding and maintaining education, training, or employment opportunities

Chairing meetings with young people and their advisors to create actionable plans

Delivering the Aspire, Inspire, and Motivate (AIM) programme

Developing relationships with local businesses for work experience and job opportunities

Assisting in the delivery of an annual careers event and building partnerships for employment opportunities
What Qualifications Do You Need to Be an Education Training and Employment (ETE) Advisor?
To be successful in this Education Training and Employment (ETE) Advisor role, you should have:

Experience in supporting young adults to engage with education or employment

A passion for working with care-experienced individuals using a trauma-informed approach

Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills

A flexible approach to working hours, including occasional travel and evening work
