eLearning Developer

Position Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and creative eLearning Developer to design and develop high-quality, engaging, and instructionally sound web-based training. The ideal candidate will apply proven instructional design methodologies, accessibility standards, and multimedia principles to create effective eLearning solutions. This role requires strong technical skills, collaboration with cross-functional teams, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Core Responsibilities

• Apply the ADDIE Model, multimedia principles, and adult learning theory to create engaging training materials.

• Use creative software and art media to produce polished, publication-ready content.

• Develop just-in-time training materials, AV presentations, and related resources.

• Ensure all courseware meets Section 508 compliance standards.

• Conduct alpha and beta testing for eLearning products.

• Upload SCORM packages into LMS environments, including assessments.

• Collaborate with instructional designers, SMEs, and developers to produce eLearning courses.

• Maintain compliance with branding and template guidelines.

• Develop synchronous and asynchronous courses using Articulate Storyline and Adobe Creative Cloud.

• Communicate effectively with program managers, team members, and government POCs.

• Apply design principles (color, line, form, space) for visually appealing courses.

• Provide developmental timelines and coordinate large-scale project tasks.

Education & Experience

Option 1: Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Education, Computer Science, or related field + 3+ years of eLearning development experience.
Option 2: 6+ years of eLearning development experience without a degree.

Required Qualifications

• US Citizen or Permanent Resident.

• Experience developing 508-compliant eLearning.

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

• Expert skills in Articulate Storyline and Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Illustrator, etc.).

• Experience with LMS platforms (SCORM/xAPI uploading, testing, troubleshooting).

• Experience animating and rendering computer-generated graphics.

• Knowledge of multiple delivery platforms (mobile, web, desktop, social).

• Experience with project tracking tools (e.g., Asana, Smartsheet).

• Strong communication and attention to detail.

• Experience with Adobe Captivate.

Highly Desired Qualifications

• Experience with the Department of Defense (DoD) or Defense Health Agency (DHA).

• Knowledge of JavaScript, HTML, CSS for custom enhancements.

• Experience with video editing, animation, or gamification in eLearning.
