MetroPower is hiring Electrical Apprentices to support our growing electrical contracting and service business. This role is perfect for individuals looking to gain hands-on experience while completing a 4-year Department of Labor (DOL) Registered Apprenticeship Program. Key Responsibilities
Under the supervision of a licensed Journeyman Electrician, you will:

Assist in electrical installations, maintenance, and repairs

Pull wire and cable, install devices, and read/interact with blueprints

Handle and stage materials, tools, and equipment
-
Operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively
-
Participate in on-the-job training (OJL)

Attend and complete required apprenticeship training classes

Follow all safety protocols and identify potential hazards
-
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized worksite
-
Work at various heights using ladders, scaffolds, or lifts
Working Conditions
-
Must work in all weather conditions (rain, snow, heat, etc.)
-
Requires working at heights up to 90 feet
-
Must be comfortable in confined or restricted areas
-
PPE required at all times

Must be able to carry tools and ladders independently
Qualifications & Requirements

Minimum age: 18

High School Diploma or GED (transcript may be required)
-
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
-
Must pass a drug test, physical exam, and background check
-
Ability to distinguish wire colors (color acuity)

Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs and perform physical labor

Must be eligible to work in the U.S. (provide I-9 documentation)

DD214 (if a veteran)
