To be considered for this role, here’s what you’ll need to bring with you:

  • High School diploma or GED preferred. Otherwise, demonstrated ability to understand and apply all verbal, written and computer work instructions or training in English, and demonstrated ability to perform simple addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
  • At least 5 years broad knowledge of the electrical field (installation of conduit systems, feeders, transformers, motors, VFD’s and the operation of electrical control circuits).
  • The ability to lift 60 pounds more with assistance.

As An Electrician, You Will

  • Diagnose problems, repair, and perform maintenance tasks on high and low voltage power distribution systems, including switch gear, transformers, panel boards, ground fault equipment, circuit breakers, fuses and variable frequency drives.
  • Prepare Bill of Materials and maintain Power Schematics drawings up to date.
  • Frequent use of ladders, scaffolds, various hand and power tools, specialized electrical diagnostic equipment, and working with energized equipment of various voltages is required.
  • Occasionally assist the other trades within the scope of the Electrical Maintenance Department.
  • Use a wide variety of measuring instruments such as a voltage tester, ohmmeter, wattmeter, etc.
  • Work from specification, and knowledge of N.E.C. and N.F.P.A 70e.
  • Operate grinders, saws, pipe threaders, drills, pumps, and welders.
