Job Responsibilities

Programming & Troubleshooting:
-
Develop and modify machine control logic programs for CNC machines as directed by the plant electrical engineer or electrical department supervisor.

Program or adjust robotic systems and PC-controlled machines as needed.
-
Collaborate with machine builders for initial programming logic, ensuring proprietary programming remains with the machine builder.

Possess a working knowledge of PLC troubleshooting, robot recovery, and repair to maintain operational efficiency.

Electrical Installation & Maintenance:
-
Install, test, and maintain electrical fixtures, control equipment, and wiring for alarm systems, communications, lighting, and power systems in buildings, machinery, and equipment.

Interpret blueprints, sketches, or specifications to plan electrical installations.

Secure panel boards, switch boxes, pull boxes, and other recessed equipment prior to wall construction.

Measure, cut, thread, bend, assemble, and install conduits using appropriate tools such as hacksaws, pipe benders, and threading tools.

Connect and install buss ducts, main power lines, circuit breakers, transformers, and all power system components.

Ensure proper circuit connections through rigorous testing.

Equipment Maintenance & Safety Compliance:
-
Keep all electrical systems, motors, switches, switchboards, and panel boards in optimal working condition.

Adhere to safety policies and procedures while performing all job duties.

Accurately complete and close out assigned work orders in E-Maint daily.

Perform additional duties as needed to support operational efficiency.

Physical Requirements

Occasionally required to sit, crawl, reach, twist, push, pull, grip, pinch, crouch/squat, bend forward, and climb stairs/ladders.

Frequently required to stand and walk.

Ability to lift and carry:

Light loads (under 25 lbs.) – occasionally

Occasionally perform repetitive motion activities involving the hand, wrist, forearm, elbow, and shoulder.
Preferred Skills & Experience
-
Journeyperson certification or 8+ years of trade-related experience, verifiable through properly notarized documentation or work records.
-
Experience in new equipment installation, hydraulics, and industrial power distribution.
-
Furnace thermal couple calibration, inspection, and repair knowledge.
-
Understanding of 480V, 110V, 220V, and three-phase electrical systems with the ability to read electrical schematics.

Hands-on experience with preventative maintenance, E-Maintenance systems, Rockwell Logix platform, Fanuc robotics, and CNC systems.

Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to present information effectively.
