Position Expectations
The Electrician is responsible for executing tasks in a timely manner related to the electrical shop operations and facility maintenance. This includes electrical work for remodels, capital improvements, and smaller projects, ensuring comfort and safety for Ambassadors and enhancing the overall visitor experience.
Essential Functions

Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical power and lighting systems.

Ensure compliance with electrical codes, standards, and safety practices.

Record labor, materials, PPE, and follow-up in CMMS (Maximo).

Interpret wiring diagrams, plans, and schematics for installations/repairs.
-
Install communication infrastructure (ITD lines, UPS systems, surge suppressors, emergency power).
-
Diagnose issues using electronic test equipment on energized and de-energized systems.
-
Perform preventive maintenance, including emergency backup system testing.
-
Operate company vehicles for transporting materials and traveling to work sites.
-
Maintain and troubleshoot computerized lighting control systems.
-
Perform work at heights up to 70 feet using lifts and aerial equipment.

Retrofit existing lighting with LED technology for efficiency.

Participate in safety meetings and follow all PPE and job site safety protocols.

Other duties as assigned to support operations.
Education & Skills
-
High school diploma or GED required; advanced degree preferred.
-
Minimum 3 years’ recent professional electrician experience.

Completion of a state-approved electrical apprenticeship program highly desired.

Strong knowledge of electrical theory, codes, safe work practices, and repair techniques.

Skilled in lighting control systems (e.g., Lithonia Synergy, Lutron Grafix 6000).

Familiar with Ethernet, ARCnet, BACnet, RS485, and DALI networks.

Able to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documents.

Proficient in CMMS software, Microsoft Office, and lighting control system software.

Excellent problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
Certifications/Licenses

Valid Nevada driver’s license required.

OSHA certification for forklifts, aerial lifts, and other equipment within 90 days of hire.

Physical Demands

Work in varied environments (indoor, outdoor, mechanical rooms, confined spaces).

Ability to lift up to 100 lbs with equipment, work at heights (70 feet), and perform tasks requiring walking, standing, kneeling, crawling, or climbing.

Distinguish colors, sizes, and shapes while using PPE.

Operate standard office and electrical equipment, including computers and CMMS software.

Drive between multiple work locations.
