About the Job

As a Machine Maintenance/Electrician I, you’ll play a key role in supporting plant production by installing, modifying, troubleshooting, and maintaining systems and equipment in our Tube Fabrication department. This role requires hands-on expertise in electrical systems, machinery repair, and preventive maintenance to ensure production efficiency and workplace safety.

Key Responsibilities

Install new equipment and support vendors with installation and repair
Troubleshoot and repair plant systems including air fixtures, CNC benders, tube lasers, hydraulics, and electrical systems
Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on fabrication machinery
Use Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) for troubleshooting
Maintain compliance with National Electric Codes and OSHA safety standards
Collaborate with operators to quickly resolve machine issues and minimize downtime
Complete required maintenance records and documentation
Support facility projects and continuous improvement initiatives
Work overtime when required to meet production schedules

Physical Requirements

Lift up to 40 lbs and push/pull up to 100 lbs
Stand and walk for the entire shift
Bend, twist, squat, kneel, and climb as required
Work safely around industrial vehicles, moving equipment, and power tools

Skills & Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required; AA or Technical Degree preferred
Minimum 2 years of electrical experience in a manufacturing environment
Strong understanding of National Electric Codes
Experience in machine controls, 24-volt systems, PLC troubleshooting
Strong communication and problem-solving skills
Advanced use of mechanical tools
Preferred (not required): Welding skills, forklift operation
