General Summary
This role is responsible for troubleshooting, training, repairing, and maintaining electrical and PLC components across production lines, facilities, equipment, and power systems within a fast-paced, high-volume manufacturing and distribution environment.
Essential Functions

Safety First – Continuously promote a safety-focused culture and adhere to all plant safety policies and procedures.

Electrical Installation – Read and follow blueprints and specifications to install electrical wiring, cables, and conduit systems.

Technical Support & Troubleshooting – Diagnose and repair machinery, PLC systems, perform adjustments, eliminate bottlenecks, and assist with machine setup and changeovers.

Maintenance & Repairs – Conduct predictive and preventive maintenance, manage work orders, and implement improvement projects through the CMMS system.

Balancing Production & Maintenance – Coordinate maintenance activities (preventive maintenance, work orders, improvement projects) to optimize production efficiency.

Root Cause Analysis – Identify and eliminate primary causes of downtime to enhance Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).

Facility Maintenance – Maintain and repair building and ground support systems.

Training & Certification – Actively participate in technical training programs related to machine setups, changeovers, and troubleshooting.

Quality & Food Safety – Ensure strict adherence to quality and food safety standards in support of the vitamin and mineral supplement (VMS) business.

Support Training Programs – Assist in developing and delivering technical training and certification programs as needed.

Additional Duties – Perform other related tasks as assigned.
Education & Experience
-
High school diploma or GED required.
-
3-5 years of proven industrial electrician experience in a fast-paced, lean manufacturing environment (experience in the consumer packaged goods (CPG) industry is a plus).

Expertise in industrial controls, including substations, motor control centers, power distribution panels, electrical starters, variable frequency drives, and programmable controllers.

Allen-Bradley SLC experience and strong knowledge of three-phase electrical systems required.

Mechanical Aptitude – Proficiency in hydraulic, pneumatic, and PLC controls, strong shop math skills, and excellent troubleshooting abilities.

Computer Skills – Strong computer literacy; prior experience with SAP or CMMS software preferred.
