Key Responsibilities

  • Set and uphold high academic expectations for every student

  • Collaborate with team members to deliver standards-aligned instruction

  • Plan and execute rigorous whole-group and small-group lessons tailored to individual learning needs

  • Use performance data from teacher-made and standardized assessments to inform instruction

  • Serve as case manager for at least two students receiving special education services

  • Foster an inclusive, supportive, and equity-focused classroom culture

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution (required)

  • Master’s degree in Education or a related content area (preferred)

  • Valid New York State Teaching Certification (Birth–Grade 2 and/or Grades 1–6)

  • Demonstrated commitment to equity, anti-racism, and culturally responsive teaching

  • Experience working in an urban school setting

  • Strong skills in data tracking and instructional planning

  • Ability to build strong relationships with students, families, and colleagues

  • Dedication to character education and family engagement


Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary is based on experience, education, and certification level in alignment with our internal teacher pay scale

  • Candidates may be eligible for higher compensation based on qualifications and internal equity
