Job Description

The Remote Elementary Teacher will deliver engaging online instruction, guide students, and personalize learning experiences using Stride K12’s learning management system. This role requires strong collaboration with students, parents/learning coaches, and administrators to ensure student success. Teachers are expected to maintain a professional home office environment and may travel occasionally for professional development, school functions, or state testing.

Responsibilities

  • Provide engaging synchronous and asynchronous instruction

  • Personalize learning for diverse student needs

  • Differentiate instruction based on mastery level

  • Maintain accurate grade records and monitor progress

  • Support families with curriculum and technical issues

  • Prepare students for standardized tests

  • Travel occasionally (average once per month, ~20%)

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • Active state teaching license

  • Ability to pass background check

Preferred:

  • Experience teaching elementary grades

  • Familiarity with online teaching platforms

  • Strong data-driven teaching approach

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

  • Ability to adapt to new technologies and embrace coaching

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary range: $26,104 – $68,361.27

  • Performance bonus eligibility

Work Environment

  • Fully remote role requiring a distraction-free home office

  • Standard hours: 8–4 or 9–5 (may vary by school needs)

  • Travel up to 20%
