About the Role
The Remote Elementary Teacher is a certified educator responsible for teaching and supporting students through Stride K12’s online platform. You’ll provide instruction, guidance, and engagement tailored to individual learning needs. Teachers work from home but must travel occasionally for in-person events such as state testing and professional development.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver engaging synchronous and asynchronous lessons to students.

Personalize instruction and differentiate based on student mastery levels.

Maintain positive relationships and consistent communication with families.

Track academic progress, maintain gradebooks, and uphold academic integrity.

Prepare students for standardized testing.

Support parents/learning coaches with academic and technical guidance.

Travel (approximately 20% of the time) for meetings, training, or student events.
Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required.

Active state teaching license (Elementary).

Ability to pass a background check.
Preferred Qualifications

Experience teaching in virtual or in-person classrooms.

Familiarity with online learning platforms and digital tools.

Strong technology skills (Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint).

Experience interpreting student data to guide instruction.

Willingness to receive ongoing coaching and feedback.

Ability to maintain certification and complete professional development.
Compensation & Benefits
Stride, Inc. determines compensation based on education, experience, performance, and market factors.
Estimated salary range: $26,104–$68,361 annually (based on role level and qualifications).

Work Environment

Fully remote role with typical hours of 8 AM–4 PM or 9 AM–5 PM (local time).
