Job Summary
Provide an elementary education program to help students develop the skills, attitudes, and knowledge needed for a strong foundation in continued education. Promote academic, social, and citizenship development through leadership and classroom supervision.
Requirements

Idaho teaching certificate with appropriate endorsement (Standard Elementary, Early Childhood/Early Childhood Special Education Blended K-3, or Generalist K-12)

Strong background in teaching methods, classroom management, and developmentally appropriate activities
-
Knowledge of subject matter, curriculum, and Idaho Core Standards
-
Experience integrating technology into instruction
-
Ability to maintain a positive learning environment and work well with students, staff, and the public
-
Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
-
Ability to work under deadlines and maintain confidentiality
Major Duties and Responsibilities
Instruction:
-
Prepare and design lessons with appropriate difficulty and content sequencing
-
Use a variety of instructional techniques and media
-
Meet assigned classes at designated times and locations
-
Identify student needs and provide appropriate instruction
-
Analyze and interpret student data to adjust teaching
-
Follow Individual Education Plans (IEPs)
-
Implement Idaho Core Standards and district instructional goals
-
Prepare students for district, state, and federal testing
-
Budget class time effectively and display command of subject matter
Other Duties to Students:

Encourage students to reach their full potential

Establish classroom rules and standards of behavior

Communicate with students and parents regarding academic and behavioral progress

Ensure the safety of students, equipment, and facilities
Elementary Education:
-
Promote active learning through structured and unstructured activities

Observe and evaluate students’ cognitive, social, emotional, and physical skills
-
Maintain records of student progress
-
Facilitate smooth transitions from preschool, kindergarten, and early primary grades
Professional Contacts and Activities:
-
Attend faculty and IEP meetings
-
Collaborate with special education teachers and staff
-
Participate in planning instructional goals and curriculum
-
Provide timely and accurate information to supervisors
Other:

Uphold school rules and district policies

Maintain accurate records and data entry
-
Pursue professional growth and development
-
Adhere to the Code of Ethics of the Idaho Teaching Profession
