Email Marketing Strategist – Key Responsibilities

As an Email Marketing Strategist, you’ll collaborate closely with Green Apple’s Content Marketing team and The Orchard specialists. Your focus will be developing innovative strategies, optimizing deliverability, and ensuring clients’ email campaigns achieve strong performance outcomes.

• Lead and manage email marketing strategy for client accounts.

• Oversee audits, reports, and campaign performance tracking.

• Conceptualize and implement creative email campaigns.

• Develop automated customer journeys and apply A/B testing.

• Ensure responsive, mobile-friendly design and user-friendly layouts.

• Update, manage, and segment client email lists.

• Track analytics and share insights to improve campaign success.

Email Marketing Strategist – Skills & Qualifications

The ideal Email Marketing Strategist is detail-oriented, creative, and experienced in both strategy and execution. You should be confident in building effective campaigns and collaborating with a distributed team.

• Strong knowledge of email marketing best practices, design, and content.

• Ability to execute A/B testing and optimize deliverability.

• Hands-on experience with HTML/CSS for responsive design (preferred).

• Proficiency in Campaign Monitor, Constant Contact (preferred).

• Skilled in collaboration tools such as Google Workspace and Basecamp.

• Degree in marketing, communications, journalism, or equivalent experience.

• Prior agency experience is a plus.

Email Marketing Strategist – Work Environment

This Email Marketing Strategist position is part of Green Apple Strategy’s freelance team, The Orchard. The role is fully remote, offering flexibility with 15–30 hours per week. Communication takes place during standard business hours (9 a.m. – 5 p.m. CST) via virtual meetings.
